Brambles of Inveraray: a full brand overhaul

THE NUMBER THAT LEADS

+397%

Booking form starts in the first 28 days

Active users grew 83%. Form starts grew 397%.

That gap is not a traffic story. It is an intent story. The right people arrived, read the language, understood what they were getting, and reached for the booking form. That is what happens when narrative and UX work together.

The Brief

Brambles of Inveraray is a family-run hotel, café, and deli on the West Coast of Scotland. Twenty years of genuine hospitality. A shelf of industry awards. A reputation built on the kind of warmth that keeps guests coming back.

None of it was landing digitally.

A new website, built by a previous agency, had not delivered the expected results. Bookings were declining. The owner knew something was wrong. The problem was not the product. The product was exceptional. The problem was that the brand had no voice, no clarity, and no system built to convert the people who found it.

That is the exact problem MOAH was built to solve.
PROBLEM

What The Audit Found

No brand voice

The copy was functional. It was also forgettable. Generic hospitality language that could have belonged to any hotel on any coast. There was nothing to make a visitor feel they wanted to book a stay.

Disconnected booking system

The booking engine sat outside the site journey entirely. Users who reached the point of intent had to navigate away to complete it. That friction was costing bookings at the exact moment trust was being earned.

UX accessibility failures

Contrast issues, readability problems, and broken navigation were creating invisible friction throughout the site. Users were leaving before they ever found what they came for.

A compromised logo

The logo was being stretched and squeezed across the board. The visual identity was failing to communicate the calm, considered quality at the heart of the Brambles experience.
THE APPROACH

We do not start with design. We start with strategy.

Before a pixel moved or a word was written, we built the blueprint: who Brambles is, what it stands for, and what a guest needs to feel before they commit to a booking. Every decision that followed was made following that foundation.
IDENTITY

New visual identity

A redesigned logo built around stillness and the natural environment of the West Coast. Engineered to hold its character at every size, in every format.
LANGUAGE

New visual identity

A redesigned logo built around stillness and the natural environment of the West Coast. Engineered to hold its character at every size, in every format.
WEBSITE

Custom-built website

No template. A bespoke platform built specifically for Brambles, with the booking engine embedded directly into the homepage. The path from intent to booking became frictionless by design.
DATA

Analytics from day one

GA4 was installed during the build phase, creating a clean baseline. Not as an afterthought. As a commitment to measuring what the work actually delivered.

Audience Geography

Within 28 days of launch, the site was attracting users from seven countries.
UK traffic up 74%. US up 140%. Canada up 275%. Germany and Ireland both up 171%.
A hotel in a small Scottish town, finding an international audience organically in month one. That is a brand communicating beyond its postcode.

Why the Form Start Number Is the Real Story

Form starts grew nearly 400%. Active users grew 83%.

The traffic increase alone does not explain the conversion behaviour. More of the people arriving on the new site were arriving with purpose, because the brand they encountered online finally matched the experience waiting for them in Inveraray.

The booking engine integration removed the structural barrier. The language removed the hesitation. Both had to work together.

This is what MOAH calls Brand Impact System: not just a site that looks right, but a system engineered to convert the right people at the right moment.

"Start your reset."
